HEALTHY HOMEMADE SUGAR FREE STRAWBERRY SYRUP

(Makes 1¾ cups)

Ingredients:

1 2⁄3 cups water

1 tbs strawberry flavouring/essence

4 drops lemon flavouring/essence

Natural red food coloring (15 drops)

1 cup stevia

1/8 tsp salt

½ tsp xanthan gum

Method:

In a sealable, cylindrical container, whisk together the water, strawberry flavouring, lemon flavouring and natural food colouring. Whisk in the stevia and the salt. Whisk the mixture vigorously while slowly sprinkling in the xanthan gum. (Don’t dump it in all at once or it will clump up.) Seal the container and refrigerate overnight.
