GARLIC MUSHROOMS ON TOASTED HEALTH BREAD

(Serves 4)

 

Ingredients:

3 tbsp olive oil

250g mushrooms, sliced

3 cloves garlic, crushed

3 tbsp crème fraîche

3 tbsp chopped parsley

health bread, toasted, to serve

 

Method:

Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan, add the mushrooms and cook over a high heat for 4-5 minutes until browned. Reduce the heat and add the crushed garlic. Cook for a further 4-5 minutes, stirring until the mushrooms are cooked. Stir in the crème fraîche and chopped parsley and season with cracked black pepper. Gently heat through again and serve on toasted bread. *ASDA Recipes*

 

Notes:

This is a perfect start to a barbeque when entertaining. The appetiser can be enjoyed fireside on french bread toasted right there on the open flame. Otherwise a real treat on toasted healthbread as lunch or a light supper.
